This is a genuine complaint to ASDA customer services about a pizza with no topping. So hilarious, it has got me in stitches.

English is Important - Air China "talks" to JFK Ground
(via Japan Probe)
According to Japan Probe, there was a similar incident with China Southern Airline at Chubu Centrair International Airport in Aichi Prefecture.
Let’s hope there will be no major incidents while the airlines in China addresses the language issue (which they deny of course).
Microsoft Ad – The Real Truth About Laptop Hunting
Microsoft ads are getting better. This time it’s about the cost of getting a laptop. A great strategy to tackle Apple but not so good for Dell, HP and other computers companies with their already thin profit margin.
But for the current financial market situation, it’s perfect.

Lomo Photography - Documentary
Part 1 of 7 on YouTube. Interesting how this camera, originally meant for spy photography was relegated to a consumer camera due to its chromatic aberration flaw. Discovered by 2 Austrian students in the 90s, it now has a cult following. An interesting story, it even involves Vladimir Putin.
How I wish they make a digital version. That will make taking Lomo pictures much easier.
The Truth About Bottled Water

Bat Hung On For a Ride Into Space
Another news about space, this time it is a sad story.
A small bat that was spotted blasting off with the space shuttle Sunday and clinging to the back side of Discovery's external fuel tank apparently held on throughout the launch.
……
Officials at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Fla., where Discovery launched from a seaside pad, said the bat's outlook after launch appears grim.
"Based on images and video, a wildlife expert who provides support to the center said the small creature was a free tail bat that likely had a broken left wing and some problem with its right shoulder or wrist," NASA officials said Tuesday. "The animal likely perished quickly during Discovery's climb into orbit."
Here’s the slideshow of the launch with the bat. Poor thing.
Panhandling Cat
This cat panhandles on the streets of Belarus with a sign that reads “need money for meat and fish, bless you,” and he appears to pull in piles of money. He clearly needs a new sign though. I'm thinking something along the lines of “kitteh needz muney 4 cheezburger, plz an thank u.”
More info on the cat at Miss Cellania. In these economic times even a cat has to earn its living.
Space – For around $120

On a Conversation with Twitter about the Future of Technology in Government
Interesting video of how Twitter can be use for emergency response in the government agencies.
So refreshing to see a politician like the SF mayor using twitter. Here in Singapore, most of our politicians can’t even maintain their own blogs, let alone understand Twitter. At the very least, emergency response using Twitter would be a good start.
