Temasek, the Singapore state investor, sold its stake in Bank of America in the first three months of this year for a large loss, it has announced.

As usual, we have to hear it from a foreign media. Well, so much for the ‘in it for the long haul’.

Ecologically Friendly Name Card

No name card that is. Just punch your name card on any scraps of paper.

Now I just need to find a smaller, lightweight stamp.

On Ubuntu Causes Girl To Drop Out of College

This is wrong in so many levels.

  1. You have to be deliberately insistent to buy a Dell with Ubuntu on their web site. Unless she is enticed by the 0$ Ubuntu OS.
  2. Loading of software to configure a wireless internet connection are not necessary these days. She just need to point the web browser to the local ip address of the router. Or she can just call the hotline or a geek for help.
  3. Openoffice can read and write Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint files. Don’t know where Abbie gets the idea that it doesn’t.

In short, it doesn’t mean that Abbie would not have technical problems if she buys a Windows machine. Just that it will cost her more (Vista and Microsoft Office license) to do essentially the same thing.

On Muslim Demographics
