(via Lifehacker)
Screw Windows 7. I will be upgrading my Asus eee 900 netbook (already on Ubuntu 9.04) and my other older HP notebook (current on Windows XP) over this weekend. Download has just completed. Yeah!!!!
No more Windows for me (except my office’s notebook).
Real Life Harry Potter

(via dailymail)
Why sharing the Wizard's name has made his life a misery.
The young man, does however, share one key feature with his namesake, a scar on his forehead.
Film Harry gained his in a battle with arch enemy evil Lord Voldemort. Mr Potter ran into a lamppost aged 15.
Hilarious.

How to destroy your car all by yourself
Crazy.
Here's a nice online tool to help one sketch their accident. Wonder how this driver would do his?

Parting Shot

I didn't stay long enough to enjoy the facilities, which is just fine. Here's the parting shot just before noon.

Winner of the 2009 F1 Circuit – Brazilian Grand Prix
(via Autoblog)
Too late to watch the race here last night. Not too surprise about Button’s victory (the championship, not the race). What is surprising is the events that happened at the race. Need to catch the repeat telecast.
That will put a damper now on the last race of the season at Abu Dhabi.

Manic Monday Acoustic
A little late as it’s Tuesday now. Susanna Hoff performing the acoustic version of Manic Monday in 2002. No way this stunning lady is 43 years old! She’s 50 now and still looking hot as ever. Check out their band’s website.
For the nostalgic, here the video from 1986.
The Future of Shopping
A Cisco ad that promotes the future of shopping with augmented reality. It’s not too far away I think. If you have a webcam on your PC, you can try a demo from GE. Just need to print the a marker page first.

Haircuts from around the world
Nice clip from a Japanese TV show highlighting men’s haircut from many cities around the world. Next time I know what to do when I am in Estonia. :)

Laughing until I am in stitches.
I have no words to describe it. Unfortunately this conversation is very real and is not uncommon here.
On Extreme Trainsufer
Hey Dieter, do you feel that the train is slower today?….
Preformed by a German known as "the trainrider". Before he died from leukemia, he enjoyed the last year of his life by surfing on trains. Included Germany's fastest Highspeed train ICE with a top speed of 330 km/h(!) No one did that before. Never to be forgotten R.I.P.
Here’s another video from German TV.

Killing good ideas can harm your future
The challenge is that good ideas like the one shown constitute maybe only a few percent of the total. The rest are shall we say, laughable.

Moving Windmills
Interesting story.
In late 2006, a Malawian newspaper first wrote about a remarkable young man from a remote rural village north of the capital city.
This is his story.
Free Anti-Virus from Microsoft
Microsoft Security Essentials. Free, light (hope it is not the same for the protection) and free. Did I just just say free?
